The Sudbury Catholic District School Board has purchased culturally diverse Aboriginal focus junior grade classroom libraries. This project promotes an increased awareness, understanding and appreciation for the rich histories, cultures and perspectives of First Nation, Metis and Inuit peoples among both educators and students. All grade 4 - 6 classes have received a classroom library consisting of approximately 20 books that supports and teaches about Aboriginal culture and identity and that supports grade specific curriculum expectations.
